Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, the promising 18-year-old Afghan spinner, has been bought by Mumbai Indians (MI) for Rs. 4.80 crore in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Known for his exceptional off-spin bowling and impressive performances in limited-overs cricket, Ghazanfar is set to make his IPL debut under the MI banner.

Afghanistan’s Allah Ghazanfar took his second ODI five-wicket haul in the third match against Zimbabwe on December 21, 2024, in Harare, helping Afghanistan bowl out Zimbabwe for just 127. Ghazanfar bowled 10 overs, giving up only 33 runs. This impressive performance gave him a series average of 5.22, and in 11 ODIs, he has taken 21 wickets at an average of 13.57
