Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj scripted history in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Kamboj dismissed all ten batters of Kerala in their first innings at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Stadium in Lahli.
With that, he became only the third bowler to take all 10 wickets in an innings in Ranji Trophy history. Kamboj joined previous record holders Bengal’s Premangsu Chatterjee and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sunderam as he dismissed Shoun Roger to complete his ‘Perfect Ten’.
With his feat, Kamboj also became only the sixth Indian bowler to pick up all ten wickets in an innings in first-class cricket. Subhash Gupte, Anil Kumble and Debasis Mohanty are the other bowlers to achieve this feat, with Kumble doing so in Tests.
Kamboj opened his account in the first over itself, getting Baba Aparajith out on the fifth ball. Then he was all over Kerala’s batting lineup and wrapped them up for 291 runs. The young fast bowler ended with the figures of ten for 49 in 30.1 overs.
Kamboj’s returns are now the second-best in the Ranji Trophy after Premangsu Chatterjee’s ten for 20 against Assam in 1956/57. He also eclipsed Joginder Sharma (8/24 vs Vidarbha) to record the best figures for Haryana in the first-class competition.

Who is Anshul Kamboj?
Anshul Kamboj is an emerging fast bowler from Karnal in Haryana. He took up the sport after turning 14 and started performing well in age-group cricket.
Kamboj missed out on the opportunity to represent India in the Under-19 World Cup. But he is progressing fast in domestic cricket, having made his debut for Haryana in 2022.
The pacer bagged his first IPL deal late last year and played three matches for Mumbai Indians in the 2024 season. Before that, Kamboj finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker for Haryana in their Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023/24 victory. He took 17 wickets in ten matches at an average of 16.
Then in September this year, Kamboj registered his then-best first-class figures. He picked up eight wickets for 69 runs in the Duleep Trophy for India C versus India B. Kamboj also featured in the Emerging Asia Cup last month for India.
With his incredible performance against Kerala, Kamboj will find himself on the radar of many teams ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
