Cricket Canada CEO Salman Khan is in hot water with corruption allegations. Word is, he’s being charged with theft and fraud from his time as president of the Calgary and District Cricket League (2014-2016). Calgary Police say they think two guys stole around $200,000 from the league.
The cops say payments were made to businesses for supposed repairs and upgrades to the league’s stuff. But either the work wasn’t done, or it was done cheap with overpriced materials.
The police statement says that they found that between January 2014 and December 2016, the ex-treasurer and ex-president of the C
DCL supposedly took about $200,000 from the league.
The money went through checks to construction businesses and contractors that the former treasurer and president, or their families, were tied to, they added.
Cricket Canada is reacting to the claims and will ask lawyers and governance people what to do next.

Salman, who got the CEO job this January, denied the charges on the Alberta Cricket Association’s social media.
