Pacer Harshit Rana is likely to stay back in the UK and might join the senior team for the Test series against England starting June 20. He made his Test debut for India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 – 25 against Australia and was part of the India A squad in England.
According to RevSportz, Rana will stay back in the UK while the rest of his India A teammates head back home on June 17. In his only appearance, he played the first unofficial Test against England Lions and took just one wicket.
Meanwhile, the Indian team which is playing an intra-squad match in Beckenham will travel to London for the first Test at Headingly on June 17 and will start training the next day.

As for the intra-squad match, Sarfaraz Khan and Shardul Thakur were the stars, both scoring hundreds. After scoring 90+ against England Lions, Sarfaraz scored a hundred in 76 balls and Thakur was not out on 122 as the match ended in just 2.5 days. New captain Shubman Gill and KL Rahul also scored fifties on the first day.
On the bowling front, Thakur, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna picked up wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh went wicketless.
