This decision came after a match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings was halted due to a blackout in the area. The IPL will share the new dates for when the tournament will resume soon.

The IPL Governing Council made this choice after discussions with franchise owners, who expressed their players’ concerns, along with input from broadcasters, sponsors, and fans. The BCCI voiced its confidence in the capabilities of the armed forces but decided it was best to prioritize the collective interests of everyone involved.

The cricket board also expressed its strong support for the Indian Armed Forces and the government. “At this time, the BCCI stands with the nation.
