Josh Hazlewood back home at Royal Challengers Bengaluru is just the elephant in the room for IPL 2025. Has been recovering from a shoulder injury which kept him out of the match against Chennai Super Kings. According to Vishesh Roy of the Hindustan Times, he is expected to join the team by May 25, just in time for the first Qualifier.
Hazlewood has had a very pitiful run in the injury department. From missing three Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the Champions Trophy with a calf strain, Hazlewood returned with a bang in the IPL 2025 and established himself as one of RCB’s main wicket-taking threats. But with his shoulder injury setting in just as he was making a comeback, Hazlewood went on a break to Centre of Excellence in Brisbane.
Bowling again these days, a video glistening with his hard practice went viral. With the glimmer of returning to India for the playoffs, RCB must breathe a sigh of relief as they head towards these crucial matches. One of RCB’s biggest buys last year was a 12.5 Crores investment from the franchise, and he proved his worth going 18 wickets in ten innings prior to his injury.
