The Mighty Australians continue to dominate in the ongoing test between Australia and Sri Lanka. The Australian duo of Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith have gone on to add a mammoth partnership of 266 runs for the 3rd wicket.
This has now become the highest partnership by an Australian duo in Srilanka. Smith and Khawaja have leapfrogged Adam Gilchrist and Damien Martyn who had earlier added 200 runs together. This partnership has given Australia a massive advantage over Sri Lanka in the ongoing test match.

After electing to bat first Australia got off to a brisk start as opener Travis Head went all guns blazing scoring 57 of just 40 deliveries. After his assault Steve Smith (141 of 251) Usman Khwaja (204*) went on to dominate Lankan Lions adding 266 runs for the third wicket.
The Australian duo showed their craft against Spin with Usman Khwaja getting his maiden double century along with Steve Smith who went on to score his 35th test ton.
For Sri Lanka Jeffrey Vendersay is the most successful bowler claiming 2 wickets along with Prabhath Jayasuriya claiming one wicket.
Australia have so far scored 475/3 with Usman Khwaja (204)* currently batting with Jos Inglis (44*) at the time of writing.
