In the India-England Test series, matches are getting competitive. After the draw in Manchester, everyone is talking about Jasprit Bumrah and Ben Stokes as Stokes played so well in that match.
Michael Vaughan has stirred things up. He wrote that Ben Stokes was better than Jasprit Bumrah in that match.
Although Jasprit Bumrah is a top bowler, he hasn’t been at his best in this series. His pace is down and he has missed getting wickets at crucial times, especially in the 4th Test. Ben Stokes was at his best, taking 5 wickets in the first innings in Manchester.
So far, Bumrah has 14 wickets, Stokes has 17. Michael Vaughan wrote about the two bowlers, praising Stokes’ performance.
He said Stokes does things that others can’t. He thinks Jasprit Bumrah is the best fast bowler he has seen. Stokes has bowled better in this series. He added that Stokes knows how to bowl on any surface and can find the spot on the pitch that causes problems.
In the last Test, Ben Stokes was in top form, taking a fifer in the first innings and scoring 141. He became only the 5th captain to score a century and take 5 wickets in the same Test. Michael Vaughan said Stokes is the key to this England team.

Vaughan recalled teams that relied on individuals, like Ian Botham and Andrew Flintoff. Vaughan can’t remember someone so important to a team’s hopes as Stokes is to this England team.
Even with the efforts, the Manchester Test ended in a draw as Team India fought well. Now everyone is waiting for the final Test at the Oval. England are 2-1 up, so the last Test will decide if they win the series or India will tie it up with a win.
