As published by BBC reports, the Sun Group became the first to procure 100 percent ownership of a Hundred team.
“Yorkshire chief executive Sanjay Patel reported late Wednesday that we are absolutely delighted to be entering into an exclusivity period with Sun Group and will continue discussions with them over the coming weeks to ensure the Northern Superchargers find sustained long-term success.”
“Patel was the Hundred managing director working directly with them. It is clear that they are aligned to the values and future direction of the club and will play a huge part in ensuring we can go on to achieve great success in the coming years.”
This sale of the Superchargers will help Yorkshire, the quintessential representative of English cricket, service its 15 million-pound debt owed to a trust set up by Chairman Colin Graves.
The exclusivity now starts for eight weeks in regards to the conclusion of the joint venture agreements.
The Superchargers have been less lucky in the Hundred, a competition in which teams consist of both male and female associates, although they do feature hugely respected names in coach Andrew Flintoff and star players Harry Brook and Adil Rashid.
