Rumor has it that this decision was partly due to some disagreements with the senior players on the Mumbai team. This move is pretty surprising considering Jaiswal is only 23 and has been a bright spot for Mumbai cricket. He could even be tapped as the captain for Goa, but we’ll have to wait and see how he manages that commitment alongside his busy schedule with the national team.

The MCA also made sure to set the record straight with an official statement. MCA secretary Abhay Hadap said they reached out to Suryakumar this morning and he reaffirmed his commitment to Mumbai. Hadap emphasized that Yadav is proud to wear the Mumbai jersey and urged fans and the media alike to stop spreading false information.
On a related note, rumors about Tilak Varma, who plays for Hyderabad, making a switch to Goa have also been proven to be false. So it seems like for now, Mumbai’s cricket lineup is staying intact, and fans can look forward to seeing Suryakumar lead on the pitch in the Ranji Trophy.
