He has been making his powers felt this season as he surpassed a record once held by Sachin Tendulkar for MI. Just a few days earlier, he flourished by scoring more than 25 runs for the 11th consecutive time.
He scored 35 runs against GT at the Wankhede Stadium, taking his IPL 2025 aggregate beyond 500 runs. Three seasons with 500-plus runs now stand as the most for the MI, surpassing Tendulkar and Quinton De Kock. Suryakumar went past 500 runs in 2018, 2023, and 2025, whereas Sachin hit that mark in 2010 and 2011, and De Kock in 2019 and 2020.
