Varun Aaron, former India fast bowler, spoke about meeting his old teammates at the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. He said the team will do their best to win the title again.
Aaron is playing for India Champions in WCL 2025. After losing to South Africa Champions in their first match, India Champions will face Australia Champions on Saturday. West Indies Champions started with a tie against South Africa Champions and then won against England Champions. Their next match is against Australia Champions on Wednesday.
Aaron spoke to ANI about playing with his old teammates: It feels amazing because we have played so much cricket together. It’s great to meet these old friends and play on the field again. We’re really looking forward to it and it will be a lot of fun.
India Champions are looking to defend their title at the World Championship of Legends 2025 where they will play against legends in what should be a cracker of a tournament.
After dominating last year’s tournament, India Champions, led by Yuvraj Singh, are keen to hold on to their title.
Speaking about defending the title, Aaron, 35, said, We want to get back on the field and defend our title. It’s going to be very competitive this year since other teams have added recent and current players to their squads. So, expect good cricket.

Approved by the England & Wales Cricket Board, The World Championship of Legends is the only international T20 league for retired cricketers.
WCL 2025, which is scheduled from July 18 to August 2 in Birmingham, Northampton, Leicester and Leeds, will see past cricketers come together for a summer event sanctioned by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
