Travis Head took the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 by storm. He was the enforcer for Sunrisers Hyderabad with the bat, taking opposition bowlers to the cleaners.
Head was the fourth-highest run-getter in the 2024 season, amassing 567 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate close to 200. His run tally included four quick fifties and the fastest hundred of the season, taking 39 balls to reach 100 runs.

Travis Head IPL Auction Price & History:
Travis Head first set his foot in the IPL back in 2015. Back then, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) signed him for INR 30 lakhs, but he didn’t feature in the season.
Delhi released Head without giving him a game, and he was back in the auction pool. In 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Bengaluru) handed him a deal worth INR 50 lakhs and made his IPL debut the same season.
He was with the Royal Challengers for two seasons, but he didn’t get a lot of games before getting released after the 2017 season. The left-hand batter wasn’t part of the IPL from 2018 until 2023.
But Head made a comeback in 2024, as Sunrisers Hyderabad snapped him up for INR 6.80 crore. He had a wonderful stint in 2024, and as a result, the franchise retained him ahead of the IPL 2025 for INR 14 crore.
