Mark Wood is among the quickest pacers in world cricket at the moment. The right-arm fast bowler terrorises batters with his constant 145+ kmph deliveries.
Wood also landed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but didn’t impress as such in his debut match. He played one match for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2018 and was part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) between 2022 and 2024.
Mark Wood, one of England’s top fast bowlers, has surprisingly missed out on the IPL 2025 auction. Known for his fiery pace and wicket-taking ability, Wood has been a game-changer in T20 cricket. However, his recurring injury issues have often disrupted his career, making him unavailable for extended periods. Despite his impressive performances in the limited matches he’s played, these fitness concerns likely led franchises to look for more reliable options for the upcoming season.
Here you can check out Mark Wood’s IPL career stats, records, and salary in every season.
