India is all set to play the 4th test against England on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. Before this game, Shubman Gill led team has suffered a blow: Nitish Kumar Reddy is out for the rest of the series.
Reddy hurt his knee while working out and is not playing the remaining matches. He’s going back home soon. He scored 45 runs and took 3 wickets in 2 matches. India needs to find someone to replace him to get the balance back in the team. Here are three players who can take Nitish Kumar Reddy’s place for the last two tests against England:
1. Harshit Rana
Harshit Rana would be a good choice to replace Reddy in the India team for the last two games. Rana was selected as a backup fast bowler for the first test at Headingley. He has been in decent form in the few tests he has played. Rana will strengthen India’s attack as the fast bowlers are injured.
2. Hardik Pandya
Hardik Pandya is a seam all-rounder just like Reddy. At this moment he only plays limited-overs format. Pandya has played 11 tests, his last one was against England in 2018. Now is a good chance for Pandya to come back to test cricket for a short time like Moeen Ali did for England a couple of years ago.

3. Mukesh Kumar
India has had a lot of injuries to its fast bowlers. Arshdeep Singh is out for the 4th test and Akash Deep is not fit for the game in Manchester. So India can pick a fast bowler like Mukesh Kumar as a replacement. He will fill the gaps in the fast bowling department for the next two games.
