BCB has announced 25 players for the preliminary squad for Asia Cup 2025 to be held in UAE from September 9-28. Same squad is also being considered for 3 T20I matches against Netherlands. Those matches will be held in Sylhet from August 30 to September 3.
Players will report to a fitness camp at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Camp will start from August 6. From August 15, training will begin. Then from August 20, the camp will move to Sylhet.
One player who is back in the T20 team is wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan. He was out of the team for a while but he is back due to his good performance in domestic cricket. On the other hand Mosaddek Hossain Saikat is not included even though he played well in local competitions.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is still in the squad but his T20 game hasn’t been good recently especially against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
These matches are big for Netherlands team as it’s their first time touring Bangladesh for a bilateral T20I series. They will arrive in Bangladesh around August 26 before the matches at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. They don’t have much time to acclimatize.
