Holding much acclaim as New Zealand’s premier one-day domestic competition with six major associations battling for supremacy, the Ford Trophy 2025 acts as the seminal platform for players to showcase their talent in List A cricket and to seek firmer honors with the national team.
For this edition of the tournament, some of New Zealand’s best domestic players, accompanied by international stars, are competing for the trophy.
Played on a round-robin basis, all teams face each other and are awarded points for a win, tie, or no-result. The best teams from the league stages move onto the knock-out stages culminating in the final of Ford Trophy 2025.
Unlike international ones, this competition is domestic only and showcases the depth of New Zealand cricket. Standout players from here usually wear the Black Caps jersey in ODIs and T20Is.
