India will be touring Australia for a white-ball series after the Test series against West Indies, which will end on October 14, has been completed. The first ODI on October 19 will be staged at Optus Stadium, thus the Men in Blue’s caravan will then be on the Australia tour.
More than the Windies Test, fans are thrilled about the Australia tour as it will bring back Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after a six-month hiatus. The last event when the fans saw their idols was the Champions Trophy final on March 9, when India lost to Pakistan.
As of late, news stories have disclosed the travel itinerary for Virat and Rohit and when they will join Team India for onward travel to Australia. Press Trust of India says that Virat, who is currently in London, will not be taking a direct flight to Australia, he will stop over in his home state, Delhi, where India is playing the 2nd Test against the West Indies.

The BCCI has decided to send the players to Australia in two separate groups. The first group departs on the morning of October 15, and the second one later in the evening. Now, the report said that Virat would most likely arrive in Delhi on October 14 if he flies out with the first group or in the early hours of October 15, the day of the flight. Rohit, who is in Mumbai, will also come to Delhi, where he will meet the team and then fly to Australia together.
“Virat and Rohit will reach the capital either on the day of flight or the day before,” a BCCI official told PTI and was reported by Hindustan Times.
There’s much more than a mere cricket series for both Rohit and Virat as a lot of talks concerning their non-inclusion in the plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup are going around, and failing against Australia will shatter those dreams.
