Ayush Badoni has made history with a mind-boggling innings in the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2024. There have been many incredible innings in T20 history where batters have torn apart the opposition’s bowling lineup and made a massive statement. But if we search down the history, we might not get many innings as brutal as Ayush Badoni played on August 31.
It was an incredible exhibition of power-hitting where Badoni and Priyansh Arya struck a century each, but Badoni was on another level. The debut edition of the Delhi Premier League is underway, and it was the 23rd game between South Delhi Superstarz and North Delhi Strikers at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Below we will talk about the match, innings, and the complete scorecard.
DPL 2024: Ayush Badoni’s blitz in the first innings
The match started with South Delhi Superstarz winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Opener Sarthak Ray (11 off 11) was the first man to go, which brought the captain Ayush Badoni to the crease. He joined Priyansh, which brought the rest, and the rest is history. Both SDS batters played shots all around the ground and stitched a record-breaking 286-run partnership for the second wicket. This is the biggest partnership in T20 cricket history.
However, DPL has yet to get an official T20 status, but this stand will certainly go in the record books. Priyansh also played well for his 120 off 50 balls, with ten sixes and ten fours. He even smashed six sixes in one over. On the other hand, Ayush Badoni was hitting sixes consistently.
