As Asia Cup 2025 approaches, cricket fans are looking forward to watching Asia’s top teams in the UAE from September 9. Besides the matches, the tournament also shines a light on the jersey sponsors. They’re the ones who financially support these teams. This year, India’s situation is interesting – they’re going into the tournament without a main jersey sponsor for the first time in a while.
1. India: No Main Jersey Sponsor because of Law Changes
Since 2022, India’s cricket team has had Dream11 as their title sponsor which brought in good money and visibility. But, the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 law stopped the promotion of online games involving money in India. Dream11 had to stop its paid contests and ended its deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
So, the Indian team will play the Asia Cup without a main jersey sponsor. BCCI is trying to find a new partner but with the tournament so close, it doesn’t look like the jersey will have a new logo for this event. This shows how laws can change things for cricket businesses even in big markets like India.
2. Pakistan: Pepsi
Pakistan has a long standing deal with Pepsi, one of the longest sponsorships in cricket history dating back to the 1990s. Pakistan Cricket Board just renewed this deal so Pepsi’s logo will be on the national team’s jersey for Asia Cup 2025. This long term deal is important for Pakistan cricket’s business model.
3. Sri Lanka: Dialog Axiata
Sri Lanka’s national teams are supported by Dialog Axiata PLC, a top phone company that has been supporting cricket since 2013. The sponsorship is not just for the men’s team. It also covers women’s cricket and local programs which helps to grow the sport at all levels in Sri Lanka.
4. Bangladesh: Robi Axiata
Robi Axiata Limited, a mobile network company is sponsoring Bangladesh cricket again with a new deal signed in early 2025. This deal shows Robi’s support for Bangladesh cricket’s development.
5. Afghanistan: Etisalat
Afghanistan’s team is sponsored by Etisalat which won the deal in 2024. The deal covers all international and local matches, supporting Afghanistan’s rapid growth in world cricket.
6. United Arab Emirates: Multiple Sponsors
UAE teams are supported by Virat as main sponsor along with Bank Alfalah and Inverex Solar Energy. They supported the recent T20I Tri-Series in Sharjah. This mix of sponsors shows the growth of cricket in the UAE.
7. Hong Kong: Arivaa Sports
Hong Kong’s national team is sponsored by Arivaa Sports, a sports management company which became the main sponsor for Asia Cup 2025.
8. Oman: Omantel
Omantel is still a key sponsor for Oman cricket, focusing on local development and sports. Their ongoing support is important for cricket’s growth in Oman.
