Anrich Nortje made his IPL debut on September 20, 2020, in Dubai. The South African pacer earned his maiden cap for DC against Punjab Kings.
It wasn’t the greatest of a start for Nortje, as he leaked 33 runs in four overs without a wicket. But he had a quick turnaround and propelled DC to the final with his consistent outings.
Nortje finished the 2020 season as the fourth-highest wicket-taker. He racked up 22 wickets in 16 games.

Anrich Nortje had a rather dull outing in IPL 2024. He had just returned after recovering from an injury. Nortje featured in six matches for DC and took seven wickets.

Anrich Nortje IPL Auction Price & History:
Anrich Nortje struck his first IPL deal with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2019. The franchise signed him for INR 20 lakhs, but he missed the season owing to an injury.
Following that, KKR didn’t retain Nortje before the 2020 season. He was back in the auction pool but didn’t find a bidder.
Then, ahead of the 2020 season, Nortje joined Delhi Capitals as a replacement at an undisclosed salary. After impressive outings in two seasons, the franchise retained him for INR 6.50 crore in 2022.
