The 1st T20I of the upcoming Pakistan tour of West Indies 2025 will be played on August 1 in Lauderhill. The tour has been divided into three-match T20I series in Lauderhill, Florida and as many ODI matches in Trinidad & Tobago. There is an alleged discussion going on regarding scrapping the ODI series and converting it to more T20Is between PCB and CWI.
These are still rumours as reported by Cricbuzz and there is no confirmation yet. These matters can be discussed later but what’s more important is the poor form of both teams in the shortest format. The two former T20 World Cup champions are coming off embarrassing losses. The 2009 winners lost 1-2 against Bangladesh while the two-time champions lost 0-5 against the 2021 winners, Australia at home.
In fact, the Maroon Brigade played hosts to the Aussies for Test and T20I series. The home side failed to win a single game during this series. On the other hand, the Green Brigade beat Bangladesh 3-0 at home in May this year.
