1. Suresh Raina (5529 runs)

The 2011 World Cup winner played for the Super Kings for most part of his IPL career. Apart from the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Raina was synonymous with CSK. Meanwhile, the former India cricketer amassed 5529 runs in exactly 200 matches for the franchise. He played his last in 2021, followed by his retirement from Indian cricket in 2022.

2. MS Dhoni (5314 runs)

The former India and CSK captain, just like Raina, has played most of the seasons for the same team, except for 2016 and 2017. Dhoni has scored 5314 runs in 272 games and will be playing in the upcoming season. The three-time ICC title winning captain is expected to play a few more seasons. Dhoni also holds the record for scoring the most runs at the Chepauk Stadium, further cementing his legacy at the venue.
3. Faf du Plessis (2932 runs)

The former South Africa and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper will play for Delhi Capitals this year. He made his IPL debut in 2012 with the five-time champions. In exactly 100 games, the right-hander scored 2932 runs and was part of the winning teams in 2018 and 2021.
4. Ruturaj Gaikwad (2502 runs)

The current captain of CSK, who was appointed for the position last year, made his debut in 2020. After getting limited opportunities in his debut season, he has been an integral part of the playing XI since 2021. After playing 71 matches, the right-hander has amassed 2502 runs.
5. Ravindra Jadeja (2354 runs)

2013 Champions Trophy hero Jedeja has represented the team from 2012 until 2025 and is one of their key players. Jadeja was a CSK legend with his all-round prowess and had even played for other teams briefly early in his IPL career. All this while, now after featuring for 200 IPL games, the star all-rounder has had over 2354 runs and has managed to churn out 152 wickets in the IPL.
