1. England – 26 Sixes against the Netherlands, Amstelveen 2022
On June 17, 2022, England played the best ODI game by hitting 26 sixes and scoring a world-record total of 498 for 4 against the Netherlands. Jos Buttler was brilliant, hitting 14 sixes and scoring 162 off 70 balls without being out. Liam Livingstone added 6 more in a quick 66 off 22 balls and Phil Salt and Dawid Malan each added 3. England played well and smartly, the most sixes in an ODI innings.
2. England – 25 Sixes against Afghanistan, Manchester 2019
During the 2019 World Cup, England played well against Afghanistan. They hit 25 sixes and scored 397 for 6. Eoin Morgan had a record-breaking performance, hitting 17 sixes, the most by any player in an ODI. Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root helped a lot as England beat the Afghan bowlers with strong and accurate hits.
3. England – 24 Sixes against West Indies, St George’s 2019
England kept playing hard earlier that year when they hit 24 sixes against West Indies in Grenada. Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan played big roles again, showing England had many good hitters. This game showed they could score big in ODIs consistently.

4. West Indies – 23 Sixes against England, Bridgetown 2019
Before England’s game in Grenada, West Indies played well in Bridgetown, hitting 23 sixes in an ODI against England. Chris Gayle hit 12 sixes, showing his power. West Indies matched England’s hard hitting and showed they have always been good at hitting sixes.
5. New Zealand – 22 Sixes against West Indies, Queenstown 2014
New Zealand hit 22 sixes in 21 overs on New Year’s Day 2014 in a rain shortened game against West Indies. Corey Anderson hit 14 sixes and made the fastest ODI century off 36 balls. Jesse Ryder also played well, it was a big game because of their hitting.
