Matthews is well known for her off-spin bowling with good accuracy and dismissing important batters, her spell of 4/14 stands out. With an average of 12.26 and 5.79 economy, she has commanded respect amongst all T20 cricketers. Besides being an amazing batter, she has turned out to be the most dominant all-rounder in the WCPL.
2. Shabnim Ismail (Guyana Amazon Warriors) – 16 Wickets
Shabnim Ismail has been at the forefront of the Warriors bowling with 16 wickets in 9 games. A match-defining 4/16 came as she ripped apart the top order. With all her experience and coping with variations, Shabnim holds an economy of 5.11 which makes her an invaluable bowler at the death overs.
3. Amanda-Jade Wellington (Barbados Royals) – 13 Wickets
Amanda-Jade Wellington has taken 13 wickets in 10 games for the Barbados Royals and established herself as a consistent wicket-taker. She exhibits her ability to change matches with disciplined bowling through her best of 4/23. She has been a brave bowler under pressure with an average of 14.15.
4. Aaliyah Alleyne (Barbados Royals)- 12 Wickets
The fast bowling of Aaliyah Alleyne has been a vital tool for the Royals. She has 12 wickets through 14 matches, with best bowling of 4/21, and an economy rate of 7.06.
