Rohit Sharma is still one of the most experienced and renowned cricketers in the Indian cricketing world. Even though he has retired from T20 Internationals and Test cricket, Rohit still plays a significant role in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 2026-27 season is especially crucial for Rohit Sharma as it precedes the ICC ODI World Cup 2027, where his experience will be valuable for the Indian team.
Though Rohit has retired from T20 internationals, he is still fully committed to the IPL, which is a domestic tournament. His inclusion will bring leadership, experience, and batting talent to the Mumbai Indians side. His performances in the IPL will also keep him match-fit before international ODI matches.
India’s ODI Schedule – 2026
The ODI fixtures for India in the year 2026 are planned around bilateral matches and foreign tours. Rohit Sharma is likely to be a part of the ODI squads to be picked, subject to fitness and workload considerations.
