After wrapping up the Test series against New Zealand at home, India will embark on a short tour of South Africa. India will take on South Africa in a four-match T20I series.
This exciting series was supposed to take place in 2021 when India had toured the country for Test and ODI series. But due to the Covid-19 outbreak in South Africa the T20I games had to be postponed.
Now after almost three years, both boards have found a slot in the busy calendar to schedule the T20I series in November 2024.
India’s tour of South Africa 2024 will get underway on November 8, with Durban hosting the first T20I. Gqeberha, Centurion, and Johannesburg will host one match each, with the series concluding on November 15.

Aiden Markram is highly likely to lead South Africa against India on the home soil. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav will be at the helm of the Indian side.
This will be Surya’s second T20I series in South Africa as captain in less than a year. The last time India played in December 2023, Surya helped India level the series 1-1.
