India Women’s Cricket team vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana is one of the top cricketers across the globe. She is the first RCB captain (combining Women’s & Men’s category) to win any multi-team tournament. Apart from this, she won The Hundred Women 2023 competition. The left-hander will be part of the home World Cup which will begin on September 30. Mandhana, alongside the team, has never won a World Cup (be it T20 or ODI) and they would like to change that this year.
Smriti Mandhana’s Early life and career

The opening batter was born on July 18, 1996 in Mumbai. She completed her schooling from Shardashram Vidyamandir International School. The Mumbaikar completed her graduation from Deccan Education Society’s Chintamanrao College of Commerce in Sangli. In 2014, she celebrated her Test debut with a half-century in a historic win over England in Wormsley. In 2017, she struck 90 on ODI World Cup debut, in a tournament where India spurred a revolution by making the final.
Height in Feet and Centimetres
Smriti Mandhana’s height is 5 feet and 8 inches, which is 173 centimetres to be precise. This makes her one of the tallest cricketers in the women’s category. Apparently, women athletes in general don’t touch the height of more than 6 feet (Jhulam Goswami was one of the exceptions).
Teams
Women cricketers under the BCCI contract or their association with Indian cricket doesn’t hinder their chances of playing in the other T20 leagues, unlike Men. One of the reasons could be India Women not playing enough Test matches. In fact, Women cricket in general doesn’t get to play enough Test matches, compared to Men’s cricket.
