The MCA Women’s T20 Inter-State Championship 2024-25, hosted by the Malaysian Cricket Association, has reached its conclusion. Sarawak Women and Selangor Women have made it to the final of the tournament, which will take place on January 3, 2025.

MCA Women’s T20 Inter-State Championship 2024-25: Journey to the Final
Sarawak Women: Placed in Group B, Sarawak Women secured the second spot after winning two games. They lost only one game against Selangor Women.
Sarawak Women then played against Pahang Women in the fourth quarter-final, which they won by 10 wickets. The next day, they bundled Johor Women for 48 runs in the first semi-final and chased the target with seven wickets to spare, entering the final.
Selangor Women: On the other hand, Selangor Women topped Group B, winning all three games. They then squared off against Perak Women in the second quarter-final, winning the match by a huge margin of 111 runs.
In the second semi-final, Selangor Women restricted Kuala Lumpur Women to 81 runs and thrashed the target with nine wickets in hand.

MCA Women’s T20 Inter-State Championship 2024-25: Final Preview
After a week’s action in Kuala Lumpur and Mantin, Sarawak Women and Selangor Women will be up against each other in the final on January 3, 2025.
During their previous encounter in the league stage, Selangor Women overcame Sarawak Women by seven wickets. So Sarawak Women will aim to take revenge in the final and lay their hands on the trophy.
However, Selangor Women won’t go down easily, as they have the top performers in their squad. Ainna Hashim is leading the run charts in the tournament, with 195 runs in five games, while Dhanusri Muhunan has taken 10 wickets, occupying the second spot on the wicket chart.
Kabita Kunwar, meanwhile, has been the star performer for Sarawak Women in both departments. She has scored 101 runs and picked up seven wickets in five appearances.
Since both teams have in-form players on their roster, fans can expect a close fight in the summit clash. The match will start at 11:00 AM IST at the Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur.
