Cricket West Indies (CWI) will conduct a new T20 league for its local players in April-May 2025. They will turn up in the West Indies Breakout League 2025, starting on April 25.

It’s a unique T20 league specifically organised for players who are under the age of 30 with not much professional experience. The players with fewer than 40 T20 matches and fewer than 10 T20I appearances will feature in the league.
They will represent six different teams, which are linked with respective CPL teams and the local island cricket board.
Guyana Rainforest Rangers will square off against Windward Islands Infernos in the first match on April 25. The other teams are Barbados Pelicans, Jamaica Titans, Leeward Islands Thunder, and Trinidad & Tobago Legions.
These six teams will compete against each other leading into the knockouts. Three of those teams will roll into the knockouts, with the top team making the final directly, while the other two teams will play in a play-off game.
The final of the West Indies Breakout League 2025 will be played on May 10. In all, the T20 league will see 17 matches played over 16 days. Trinidad & Tobago’s Brian Lara Cricket Academy will host the entirety of the league.
