After the Asia Cup 2025 Afghanistan will play a limited overs series against Bangladesh in UAE this October.
Sharjah and Abu Dhabi to Host Matches
Both the boards confirmed that the series will be 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are the venues for the matches.
The T20I series starts on October 2 with the first match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Sharjah. The ODI series starts on October 8 in Abu Dhabi.

Afghanistan Happy to host Bangladesh
Naseeb Khan, CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said that they are happy to have Bangladesh as their guests for this series. He mentioned that this tour shows how strong their partnership is and how determined they are to put on great cricket even when played in a neutral country. Khan said that fans can expect exciting games and high level competition.

Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed his enthusiasm and spoke about the good relation between the two boards. He said that they are looking forward to playing against Afghanistan in what should be a competitive and exciting white ball series in UAE. He added that the tour will provide good competition after the Asia Cup and shows the respect and strong ties between their organizations. Chowdhury ended by thanking Afghanistan Cricket Board for hosting the series.
Asia Cup ahead
Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in Group B of Asia Cup along with Sri Lanka and Hong Kong. The Asia Cup starts from September 9. The top two teams from each group will move to the Super Fours stage of the men’s T20 World Cup. From there top two teams will play in the final on September 28 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Before this series Afghanistan will play a tri-series against UAE and Pakistan which will be their first T20I series of the year. Bangladesh after a successful T20I series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play a 3 match T20I series against Netherlands from August 30 to September 3. Afghanistan and Bangladesh will play each other in Abu Dhabi on September 16 in Asia cup.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh have played 19 ODIs. Bangladesh won 11 and Afghanistan won 8. Afghanistan won 7 out of 12 T20Is.
