Asia Cup 2025 is just weeks away and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is excited about the India vs Pakistan match in Dubai on September 14. Despite government approvals, it’s not a done deal yet.
BCCI is the official host of Asia Cup 2025 but the matches will be played in UAE from September 9 to 28. This was decided after India refused to travel to Pakistan for ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Team India will arrive in Dubai on September 4. Pakistan will play a T20I Tri-Series against Afghanistan and UAE before Asia Cup 2025. India’s first match is against UAE on September 10, while Pakistan will face Oman on September 12 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India vs Pakistan match is on September 14 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. There could be two more matches in Super Fours and the final in UAE.
ECB is working hard to get ready and wants to give fans great cricket during Asia Cup 2025. But they are not 100% sure about India vs Pakistan match but hope cricket will win over politics.
ECB Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed told Cricket Pakistan, “We’re ready and we want fans to enjoy some great cricket. We can’t promise anything for sure but we hope India plays Pakistan.
No worries about boycott; we expect a full house. Fans have always kept cricket separate from politics and we think that will happen again.”
Fake Tickets for Asia Cup 2025
Fake tickets are being sold online especially for the India vs Pakistan match. The Asian Cricket Council and ECB are warning fans to buy tickets only from the official site when sales start soon.
ECB COO added, “We are talking to a ticketing company and will have an agreement soon. Fans will be able to buy tickets in next few days. We will also try to keep prices reasonable.”
India and Pakistan Fans in Dubai! No separate seating for India and Pakistan fans. They can sit together during the match and Asia Cup 2025. Ahmed said, “The Dubai government hasn’t asked us to do that. Fans can sit together and enjoy the game as usual. But the Sharjah government asked us to seat Afghan and Pakistani fans separately for the tri-series. No Asia Cup matches are scheduled in Sharjah.”
No Big Opening Ceremony for Asia Cup 2025
The ECB also said that fans will get standard UAE visas but special arrangements are being made for players, officials and others.
Also, there will be no big opening ceremony this time. Subhan Ahmed concluded, “Asia Cup will start simple, no big ceremony.”
