Hasan Nawaz, the middle order batsman for Pakistan, spoke about the team’s preparation for the upcoming tri-series and Asia Cup 2025 which is to be held in UAE next month.
In a media interaction, Hasan talked about the much awaited match between Pakistan and India in the continental tournament.
When asked about the big game, Hasan said, Yes, it will be a challenge. He added, Every match has its own pressure but we try to enjoy ourselves and treat each game as a challenge. India-Pakistan games are always exciting and I am excited to be a part of them. We have done all we can to get ready.
The 23 year old emphasized how important it is to understand the game situation when talking about his batting strategy.

You can’t just go out there and swing at every ball in UAE. You have to figure out the conditions and play accordingly, he explained. I am not trying to hit a six every time I swing the bat. What matters is how you manage the whole innings and that’s what makes a match winning performance.
Hasan also talked about how he has grown as a cricketer and gave credit to the coaching staff for their support.
I have picked up a lot from Mike Hesson who has been working with us. I continue to learn from him and other coaches, he said.
It’s worth noting that Hasan made his international debut on March 16 against New Zealand in Christchurch. In his third match he scored 105 not out from 45 balls and led Pakistan to a win while chasing 205. Since then he has been important for Pakistan’s recent successes and has shown he can perform under pressure.
Asia Cup 2025 will be held from September 9 to 28 at two venues: Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Pakistan will start their tournament against Oman on September 12 followed by the big match against India on September 14
