The ICC has written to the PCB listing out the rules that were violated.
The PCB is likely to be disciplined for these breaches. The breaches include filming and sharing a video inside the stadium after their 41-run win against UAE in Dubai on Wednesday. This video was posted on their social media.
Even after the ICC clarified that match referee Andy Pycroft’s apology was only for miscommunication, the PCB posted videos on social media with a statement. The PCB claimed that Pycroft had apologised to Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha and team manager Naveed Akram Cheema and the ICC would look into a Code of Conduct violation. But the ICC has cleared Pycroft saying he did nothing wrong.

This all started when India didn’t shake hands with Pakistan players after winning by 7 wickets in Dubai on Sunday in the Asia Cup.
Pakistan withdrew from the post-match presentation and expressed their disappointment. India’s decision was linked to the tense relations between the two countries after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir where Pakistan backed terrorists killed 26 tourists on April 22.
The handshake issue grew when the PCB complained about Pycroft saying he broke the ICC Code of Conduct and MCC laws about the spirit of cricket. The ICC refused to consider Pakistan’s request. In response the PCB threatened to withdraw from their match against UAE.
On Wednesday in Dubai during the Asia Cup, more drama unfolded when the Pakistan team didn’t leave their hotel for the match against UAE.
Pakistan’s decision was a direct response to their request to remove match referee Andy Pycroft which the ICC rejected. Pakistan got approval and went to the stadium but the match was delayed by an hour.
Pakistan cancelled the pre-match press conference on Tuesday but practiced before the match against UAE.
Pakistan’s decision was because they were unhappy with Pycroft whom the PCB wanted removed. Pakistan also didn’t attend the post-match presentation after their match against India in the T20 Asia Cup.
