BCCI to reject Sri Lanka’s offer to host a limited-overs series next month? SLC had offered to fill the void left by the postponed India tour to Bangladesh (3 ODIs and 3 T20Is in August). SLC had proposed a similar series but BCCI has reportedly turned it down.
Sources say BCCI won’t accept the series. This means Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s return to ODI cricket will be pushed to the Australia series in October.
According to a SportsTak report, a source close to the situation said the series is not happening, “We will decide but it looks unlikely.”
The Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka in 2025 was a mixed bag. Sri Lanka won the 2-Test series 1-0 and the ODI series 2-1. Bangladesh won the T20I series 2-1. Sri Lanka won the first T20I by 7 wickets, Bangladesh won the second by 83 runs and the third by 8 wickets.

After Asia Cup, India will host Australia for 3 ODIs in October and South Africa for 3 ODIs starting November 25th. Bangladesh tour has been moved to September 2026.
India is currently playing the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy in England. England is leading 2-1 and the 4th Test will be in Manchester starting July 23.
