For the second time, India Women exerted their authority upon Pakistan Women, thrashing them by 88 runs in Match 6 of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Sunday. The dominating win meant the Women in Blue had extended their undefeated ODI World Cup record against Pakistan, be it men or women, to an awesome 13 matches.
After posting a respectable total of 247 to defend, India’s bowlers took the game by the scruff of its neck. Goud and Deepti Sharma shared three wickets each, with Sneh Rana chipping in with two-wicket haul to bowl out Pakistan for 159. With Goud’s three for 20 and Deepti’s three for 45, we saw two of the best bowling performances ever witnessed in this fixture.
These spells add to an already long list of bowling masterclasses dished out by the India Women against Pakistan Women in recent times. It is time we look at the top 5 bowling figures for India Women v Pakistan Women in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.
Indian Women’s Best Bowling Figures Against Pakistan
5. Deepti Sharma: 3/45 (Colombo, 2025)
Deepti Sharma looks at No. 5 for those middle over blows in the 2025 World Cup clash. After Goud’s early strikes, Deepti ensured that Pakistan never made a recovery by taking 3 for 45 with her off-spin.

Her victims: Fatima Sana, Rameen Shamim and Sadia Iqbal never really picked her flight or dip. She was a constant threat keeping the run rate down and creating pressure from both ends. Not necessarily the most economical spell, but it was timely as every wicket came just when India needed to curb Pakistan’s momentum.
4. Niranjana Nagarajan: 3/35 (Cuttack, 2013)
The 2013 Women’s World Cup match in Cuttack might well be remembered for Mithali Raj’s classy century, but it was Niranjana Nagarajan’s spell that laid the foundation for India’s triumph. Pakistan were restricted to 192 for 7, and Niranjana’s disciplined bowling with 3 for 35 choked the middle order just when they looked to accelerate.
She dismissed Bismah Maroof, Asmavia Iqbal, and captain Sana Mir with clever variations and impeccable line and length. Each wicket came out of patience and meticulous planning, as she set up the batters over several overs before landing the perfect delivery. Her spell ensured that India was not forced into an above-par chase, and the Women in Blue comfortably cruised to a six-wicket victory.
3. Kranti Goud: 3/20 (Colombo, 2025)
Kranti Goud’s spells against Pakistan again proved that the legacy of Indian bowling is alive and kicking. A relatively newer name in this fixture, Goud made her announcement with a telling 3 for 20 that crushed the top order of Pakistan.
Her double strike saw Sadaf Shamas and Aliya Riaz dismissed early on before she returned to remove Natalia Pervaiz, thus sealing the fate of Pakistan. Every ball she bowled was purposeful, with tight lines, consistent pace, and just that right amount of aggression. Alongside support from Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana at the other end, India had Pakistan bowled out for 159 to seal an 88-run victory and extend their World Cup run against their arch-rivals.
2. Rumeli Dhar: 3/7 (Bowral, 2009)
The Bowral clash of 2009 was as firmly stamped one-sided as almost any other match, thanks to Dhar’s early flurry. Pakistan could only muster 57 runs, the lowest total in the rivalry; Dhars’ destruction was right at the forefront. She took 8 overs, with 5 maiden overs, restricting 7 runs, and managed to snag 3 wickets crucially.
The wickets included Bismah Maroof, Sajjida Shah, and Almas Akram, all of whom were undone by her ability to move the ball both ways. It was one of those days when every delivery seemingly had a wicket stashed away behind it. Her 3/7 was about exceptional discipline and unshakable accuracy.
1. Ekta Bisht: 5/18 (Derby, 2017)
The Derby affair of 2017 is the benchmark for total domination. As Bisht’s left-arm spin cast its spell of destruction on Pakistan’s batting line-up, life became painful for all the Pakistan batters. Defending a modest 169, the ball gripped, turned and thundered downwards thanks to Bisht’s magic. She got rid of Ayesha Zafar, Sidra Nawaz, Iram Javed, Nashra Sandhu and Diana Baig.
Pakistan was put to the sword for 74, and that 5 for 18 by Bisht remains the best ever by any Indian woman against Pakistan in a World Cup. It was a statement. How she toyed with lengths and kept the stumps in play- a masterstroke of control.
