With an elegant century against the West Indies in the ongoing first Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium, KL Rahul silenced his critics, raising his second Test hundred at home on Friday, October 3. KL ended his nine-year-long wait for a home ton.
Notably, batting in the opening position, KL had taken 190 deliveries to score his ton. It was a very special one for the right-hander, and he made it more special with a unique celebration.
What does KL Rahul’s unique celebration mean?
After his century, KL raised his bat, removed his helmet, and then put two fingers into his mouth alleging to have done a ‘whistle’ celebration. But the fans were confused with the special celebration. On the other hand, the DC star allegedly dedicated the hundred to his daughter Evaarah.

Notably, on March 24, 2025, KL Rahul and wife Athiya Shetty had welcomed their first newborn, after which KL missed a couple of DC IPL games in the 2025 season.
Evaarah has indeed been the lucky charm in Rahul’s life, with the 33-year-old having three centuries to his name since the little one’s birth: two during the July-August tour against England and one in the ongoing Test against West Indies.
Soon after KL’s 11th Test hundred, his wife and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty took to Twitter to post a special message for her husband. “The best for his best,” visibly referring to their newborn daughter Evaarah.
The batsman failed to go on with the scoring and has just fallen right after the Lunch break. KL returned to the pavilion after scoring hundred (197), knocking 12 fours and no sixes.
