KL Rahul enjoyed a wonderful night on Sunday scoring a hundred in Delhi Capitals‘ latest IPL game against Gujarat Titans. Opening the batting for DC, he scored 112 off 65 balls, hitting 14 fours and 4 sixes. However, despite Rahul’s stellar performance, DC lost the game as the Titans chased the target without losing a wicket. This was his second IPL hundred incurred in a loss, joining Hashim Amla, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Sanju Samson as one of only four players to have two IPL hundreds in losses.
Ranking in terms of most hundreds in losing cause, the list runs thus:
– Virat Kohli – 3
– Hashim Amla – 2
– KL Rahul – 2
– Ruturaj Gaikwad – 2
– Sanju Samson – 2

On the other hand, Rahul has overtaken MS Dhoni on the list of highest run-getters in lost matches in IPL history, with Dhoni trotting along with 2373 in losses and Rahul now having 2412.
Gujarat threw a tantrum against Delhi Capitals and did not allow them to amuse it, thus putting DC in a tough situation for IPL 2025 playoffs qualification. Their upcoming clashes against Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings should be must-win games: another loss, and they will have to pack home early. Next on the docket is a clash of DC with Hardik Pandya’s MI, on May 21.
