Talking to ANI, Tiwary said England’s batsmen want to get a 250-300 lead and then beat India. He feels it’s tough for India to come back. While winning is a challenge, a draw is within reach.
England started the day at 225/2, with Ollie Pope (20*) and Joe Root (11*) not out. They added to the good work of openers Ben Duckett (94 off 100 balls, 13 fours) and Zak Crawley (84 off 113 balls, 13 fours, 1 six). At the end of the first session, England was 332/2, with both Pope and Root having scored their fifties.
In the second session, Washington Sundar (2/57) got Ollie (71 off 128 balls, 7 fours) and Harry Brook (3). But Stokes and Root didn’t allow any more breakthroughs. Root scored his 38th Test century and went past Ricky Ponting to become the second-highest Test run-scorer.

England ended the second session at 433/4, with Stokes and Root still at the crease. Siraj and Bumrah had fitness issues during the session and Bumrah bowled only one over with the new ball.
In the final session, Stokes got to his fifty but had to leave the field due to a left leg issue. Jadeja got Root for a great 150 off 248 balls, 14 fours. Bumrah and Siraj quickly got rid of Jamie Smith (9) and Chris Woakes (4), making England 528/7. But Stokes (77*) came back to bat and with Liam Dawson (21*), prevented any further collapse. England chose to bowl after winning the toss. India scored 358, with Sai Sudharsan (61 off 151 balls, 7 fours), Yashasvi Jaiswal (58 off 107 balls, 10 fours, 1 six) and Rishabh Pant (54 off 75 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes) getting some runs. Stokes (5/72) stopped them from getting a big partnership.
