Mustafizur Rahman has made history. He is now the highest wicket taker for a Bangladeshi player in T20 Internationals. He’s also one of the few bowlers in the world to take 150 wickets in this format.
Rahman achieved this feat in the Asia Cup Super Four match against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He got Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav out, which was his 150th wicket. With that dismissal, he surpassed Shakib Al Hasan who had 149 wickets.
Mustafizur is now in the company of some of the best T20I bowlers ever. Only three other bowlers have taken 150 wickets in this format. Rashid Khan from Afghanistan is in first place with 173 wickets, followed by Tim Southee from New Zealand with 164. Ish Sodhi and Rahman are now tied with 150 wickets each.
