England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is just 10 runs away from surpassing fellow countrywoman and former wicketkeeper-batswoman Claire Taylor in the rankings to become third-highest run-scorer for her team.
She could also arrest this upward movement in the charts during England’s ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup clash against Bangladesh on Tuesday in Guwahati.
Currently in 122 ODIs and 108 innings, Sciver-Brunt has scored 4,092 runs at an average of 46.50 and with a strike rate of 95.34, also scoring nine centuries and 34 half-centuries with the highest score being 148*. She is fourth-highest run-scorer for her nation in women’s ODIs.
Claire sits at third position, having amassed 4,101 runs in 126 matches and 120 innings at an average of 40.20, with eight centuries and 23 fifties, while holding the best score of 156*.
Ranked on top is England’s former captain Charlotte Edwards, who scored 5,992 runs in 191 matches and 180 innings at an average of 38.16, with nine centuries and 46 fifties, with the best score being 173*.
