Given the team’s designation as a One Day International team, the Pakistan women started their international cricketing journey when they played their first-ever ODI against New Zealand. Since then, the team has participated in five ICC Women’s Cricket World Cups (1997, 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2022), with 2009 witnessing the best performance when the Pakistan team reached the Super Sixes stage.

1) Fatima Sana
At the helm will be the enthusiastic captain, Fatima Sana, a fast-bowling all-rounder with match-winning potential. Since making her international debut in 2019, this 23-year-old right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler has played 49 ODIs, amassing 593 runs and capturing 63 wickets. 2) Nashra Sundhu
Nashra Sundhu is a highly effective and skillful left-arm spinner who troubles batters with precision and control. Since her debut in 2017, she has been involved in deciding tight matches with 104 ODI wickets, including a personal best of 6/26 in a recent game against South Africa before the World Cup.

Today, the 28-year-old left-handed batter and wicketkeeper has played 52 ODIs and scored 1,310 runs with a highest score of 107. She gives the team steady starts and builds fragile innings together. Also, she stands third in the highest number of runs scored in an innings by a wicketkeeper (102). She is a very important pillar of Pakistan’s batting line.
