Location: Ahmedabad, India where the history is made it is a memorable Victory for Royal Challengers Bengaluru! The RCB finally became champions of the Indian Premier League. After years of disappointment and near misses, RCB became champions for the first time by defeating Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad. The thousands of RCB supporters, and especially Virat Kohli, have waited another 18 years for this moment. Kohli, that bigger-than-life presence who stood tall to the very end with the team, finally got to lift the trophy.
The post-match presentation saw the captain, Rajat Patidar, who seemed calm yet emotional, speaking about the happiness of the entire team in winning for Kohli. He said they always persisted and that their determination never made them quit through tough times.
He told, “It’s a great honor to captain a team with Virat Kohli playing under me. Nobody deserves this more than Virat. Virat, all the fans, coaches, and support staff worked so hard for this. I would like to especially acknowledge the bowlers, with Krunal Pandya stepping up in crucial moments in several matches including the final.”
Krunal is my go-to game-changer. I’d ask him for a wicket anytime. I’ve got that much faith in him, just like Suyash. The fast bowlers were good too-Bhuvi, Hazlewood, and Dayal showed their stuff.
