In a very important turn of events, Rinku Singh is said to have been the target of the underworld gang associated with Dawood Ibrahim. As per a release from Mumbai police’s crime branch, Rinku Singh’s promotional team has been contacted with a ransom request of ₹5 crores three times, in total, between Feb and Apr of 2025.
The threats are said to be from the gang of Dawood Ibrahim but this should be put aside as a mere rumor. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two men – Mohammed Dilshad and Mohammed Naveed – as suspects in the case. They were first apprehended in the Caribbean and then extradited to India on the 1st of August.
Rinku Singh gets ₹5 crores ransom demand
There is one more thing which is quite shocking regarding this case. Those two individuals are also charged with the extortion of ₹10 crores from Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of late Baba Siddiqui, who was a former MLA. It has been reported by TV9 that one of the detained persons admitted during the questioning by the police their making a call to Rinku Singh for ransom demand.
It should be noted that the accused were previously taking refuge in the West Indies before the local law enforcement agencies arrested them. After a few days, they were transferred to the Indian authorities where the Mumbai Police started their interrogation. During the investigation, it came to light that the perpetrator had made calls and sent emails with threats to the team of Rinku Singh.
