Shreya Ghoshal to perform at ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 opening ceremony
She will sing before the India vs Sri Lanka match at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati on September 30
The International Cricket Council (ICC) made the announcement as they released ticket and entertainment details for the event
This year’s Women’s World Cup will be held in four Indian cities and Colombo, Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2

Shreya Ghoshal who also sang the tournament’s official song “Bring it Home” will perform a live show celebrating the excitement, attitude and togetherness of women’s cricket around the world
This year it’s going to be easier than ever to get to the event with the lowest ticket prices for any ICC global event
Tickets for all league matches in India are just INR 100 (about US $ 1.14) in the early stages. The price is expected to draw big crowds as women’s cricket grows globally
“The opening ceremony in Guwahati will be an energetic and cultural party for cricket, women’s power and music” said the ICC “Shreya Ghoshal’s singing along with visuals and activities will be a great start to the month long celebration of women’s cricket”
The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is back in India after 12 years
The 2025 Women’s World Cup is the 13th time the 50-over cricket event is being held and will feature 8 teams
All 8 teams will play each other once. Then the top 4 teams will go into the semi-finals
The top team will play the 4th team in the first semi-final and the 2nd and 3rd teams will play the other one
Australia has won the Women’s World Cup 7 times, they are the most successful team. England has 4 wins and New Zealand has 1.
