Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi found himself at the centre of a lighthearted viral moment after a video of him addressing airport photographers surfaced online. Amid a scrum of paparazzi trying to capture his arrival, the young star was heard jokingly cautioning them, “Reel ke chakkar mein thuk jaoge,” urging the cameramen to be careful rather than risk their safety for a quick clip. The clip has since been shared widely, with fans praising his cheerful yet sensible response.
CricketBuzz understands that Sooryavanshi was in New Delhi for a special occasion — a felicitation ceremony organised to honour India’s Asian Games contingent. The event brought together several young athletes who had represented the country with distinction, and Sooryavanshi’s presence added extra buzz given his meteoric rise in domestic and age-group cricket over the past year.
Modi’s Message to Young Athletes
The highlight of the visit was an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who met the contingent and encouraged the athletes to become role models for the country’s youth. Modi emphasised how sports instil discipline, resilience, and perseverance in young minds, qualities he said go far beyond the playing field. He summed up his message with the now-popular phrase, “Jo Khelega, Woh Khilega,” reinforcing the idea that participation in sports helps individuals truly flourish in life.
As CricketBuzz reported earlier, Sooryavanshi has been one of the most talked-about young talents in Indian cricket, known for his fearless stroke play and maturity beyond his years. His viral airport remark, though made in jest, only added to his growing popularity among fans who appreciate his down-to-earth personality alongside his cricketing promise. Stay with CricketBuzz for more updates as this young prodigy continues his journey toward the top.
