Marcus Trescothick will coach the men’s team for Southern Brave in The Hundred 2025. He takes over from Jimmy Adams who will coach Hampshire in the One Day Cup in August, according to ESPNcricinfo. Trescothick is the batting coach for the England men’s team and was interim coach for their white ball series last July. This is his first time coaching in The Hundred.
Luke Williams is the new head coach for Southern Brave’s women’s team in The Hundred 2025. He replaces Charlotte Edwards who is now the head coach of the England Women’s team. Williams has a lot of coaching experience. He’s been with the Brave since the start of the tournament, working as Edwards’ assistant. They made the final in 2021 and 2022 and won their first title in 2023.
Williams has won on big stages too. He coached the Adelaide Strikers to two Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) titles in 2022 and 2023. He also led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to their first trophy in the Women’s Premier League in 2024.
After Edwards moved to the national team, Williams was a consultant coach for England Women’s recent home series against the West Indies. At Southern Brave he will work with South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt again whom he knows from his time at the Strikers.

It’s an honour to lead Southern Brave this year after Charlotte Edwards, Williams said, according to ESPNcricinfo.
I’ve worked with the team for years. We have a great group of players and staff and had good picks in the draft this year. I hope we can get to Finals Day and win the trophy this summer, he said.
