Chinna Thala Suresh Raina is all set to start his new innings in films. Raina will be seen in a new Tamil movie directed by Logan and produced by D Saravana Kumar under the Dream Knight Stories Private Limited (DKS) banner.
The official announcement about Suresh Raina’s acting debut happened at an event in Chennai yesterday evening. The launch also introduced the DKS production house and the film is currently titled Production Number One. Raina joined the event through a video call from Amsterdam and spoke about his decision to get into the movie business.
I think DKS has a good director and when I was told the story, I felt like I was living my own life,” Raina said. “Since it’s a cricket based movie, it made sense to start in Tamil Nadu. I have played many matches here for CSK and the fans have always been very supportive.
The movie will be about cricket, a topic Raina is very passionate about and has a good team. Sandeep K Vijay will be the cinematographer, T Muthuraj will be the production designer, Supreme Sundar will design the action scenes. Resul Pookutty who won an Oscar for sound design is also on board and Santosh Narayana will compose the music.

Raina who is loved for his positive attitude on and off the field joked about his acting skills. I think I will be a good singer, play the guitar and make good dosas for my teammates,” he said. “Then enjoy rasam rice. I will be relaxed, without any worries.
Though the story is still a secret, fans are excited as one of India’s most loved cricketers is trying his hand at something new.
