After Dream11 ended its association with Team India as the jersey sponsor due to 2025 online gaming regulations, the team was looking for a new sponsor. Now, Apollo Tyres is stepping in.
Dream11’s deal with the team ended abruptly after the government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 came into effect. This law had a huge impact on Dream11’s business and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) started looking for someone new to back the team.
The Indian team is playing in the Asia Cup but they started the tournament without a sponsor on their jerseys when Dream11 left. But they got the Apollo Tyres deal during the tournament.
Apollo Tyres will be the official jersey sponsor, reportedly paying around INR 4.5 crore per game. That’s more than the INR 4 crore per game that Dream11 paid.

The sponsorship is for 2025 to 2027 and will cover around 130 matches for the Indian team. Besides Apollo Tyres, other companies like Canva and JK Tyres were in the running.
The bidding closed on September 16th. BCCI started accepting bids for the title sponsorship on September 2nd.
BCCI had specified that companies involved in gaming, betting, cryptocurrency, tobacco couldn’t bid. Same went for athleisure and sportswear makers, banks, finance firms, non-alcoholic drinks, fans, mixer grinders, safety locks and insurance providers.
