Reports on July 4th said that India’s short tour to Bangladesh in August might not happen. India was supposed to play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs but the series was still on hold as the relations between the two countries have gone sour.
After the Pahalgam incident and Bangladesh’s support to Pakistan, the diplomatic ties have become tense. So the cricket boards were waiting for the Indian government’s nod to go ahead with the series. Now it seems the series is cancelled.
An Indian broadcaster told Cricbuzz, They told us the India series isn’t happening. After announcing the tender they didn’t give the ITT. Now they are only selling for the Pakistan series.
Since the India-Bangladesh series won’t happen, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s return to the Indian team has been pushed back. Both are only playing ODIs right now and fans are waiting to see when they will play next.

Unfortunately for the fans, India doesn’t have any ODI series in the next few months. Fans will have to wait till October when India goes to Australia for a tour with different formats. The team led by Rohit Sharma will play Australia in 3 ODIs from October 19 to 25.
With this return, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will end a 7 month wait. They last played for India on March 9 in the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand.
